Product Info
The Tacoma Habitat rack is a modular, adjustable, and completely bolt together roof rack for 2005-2022 Toyota Tacomas. This rack has been specifically designed to be a partial rack that will work with in-the-bed campers like the AT Habitat or a 4 wheel camper model that overhang over the cab of the truck. This rack is not designed to be put on an access cab Tacoma that is not running an in-the-bed camper model that overhangs the cab of the truck. (If this is you, please see our Access Cab Rack or the Cab Rack.) Please keep in mind that each brand and model of in-the-bed campers vary and that the clearance from the top of the cab and the bottom of the camper may vary, but our rack will work for the majority of models! The rack consists of 2 laser cut side rails constructed of 3/16 inch 5052 aluminum plate. These rails have 2 mounting platforms each that will allow you to bolt the rack into the forward mounting points on the cab. The crossbars are made from an aluminum extrusion that has a top-facing T-slot channel and the exclusive Prinsu drop points. This offers numerous solutions for tie-down options, cargo security, and the addition of accessories such as tool mounts or lighting. All products come in black. All assembly hardware is provided. The rack also includes a 1/8 inch 5052 aluminum plate wind deflector to help with aerodynamics and prevent wind noise. The rack is completely modular in that you choose how your rack is configured. You can also choose the number of crossbars you assemble your rack with. The rack comes standard with 5 crossbars for cargo and 2 additional for mounting a wind deflector, lightbar, or a combination of the two. All Prinsu racks come powder coated satin black. The weight capacity of the racks varies based on the number of crossbars used and their configuration. We expect all consumers to use good judgment and common sense with the loads they plan to carry using these rack systems.

Q: How much weight can my Prinsu Rack hold?
A: Prinsu Racks are designed with functionality in mind. Most racks are rated at 400lbs dynamic load capacity and 800lbs static load capacity. This is more than enough for most rooftop tents or whatever other accessories you are looking to mount.
Q: How much wind noise does the Prinsu Rack generate?
A: Prinsu Racks are designed to be the most aerodynamic and low-profile racks out there. When properly installed the added noise to your vehicle will be almost undetectable.
Q: What kind of accessories can I mount to my Prinsu Rack?
A: Prinsu uses a custom-designed crossbar with one-of-a-kind drop-in points that make mounting accessories a breeze. Besides the mounts that Prinsu manufactures, the rack is also compatible with most other roof rack-mounted products. A few of the most popular accessories that are mounted to Prinsu Racks are rooftop tents, recovery boards, light bars, and fuel/water storage.
Q: What can I do to make my Prinsu Rack stand out from the rest?
A: Prinsu offers a ton of different ways to customize your rack and make it unique to your rig. You can choose a wind deflector decal to change up the front of the rack, or take a look at Prinsu Shield Plates to bring some extra color and style to your rack. The different combinations of accessories available also virtually guarantee that your rack can be custom to your build and one of a kind.
